Colin Erricson photographs the life of the animals that call Muskoka home. “I strive to tell visual stories using the colours and textures within the landscape,” says Colin who uses lighting techniques and composition to depict a true representation of the animals as they experience a moment in time. Viewer of Colin’s photographs see the intricate patterns within an ancient granite boulder where a heron lands and ruffles his feathers to dry; to feel the texture of pine needles under the feet of a fox as she strolls back to her den; to hear the crunch of snow as a moose lumbers through an icy forest. “I feel privileged to share their home and a sincere obligation to respect the environment in which they live,” remarks Colin.
