Muskoka Authors Associated is excited to welcome, debut author, Deborah Levison to the monthly meeting on Thursday, August 16. In her book, Levison tells her family’s story of a grisly discovery when they settle into quiet cottage in Muskoka. The book weaves two true stories with seamless prose; one of her family as Holocaust survivors; the other of being forced to confront evil at their doorstep. Levison’s novel, THE CRATE: A Story of War, a Murder, and Justice, launched on May 15, 2018 has been described as “true crime at its best” (K.J. Howe, author of The Freedom Broker and Skyjack, and Executive Director, ThrillerFest).
The author will share her journey to publication, talk about the process of writing a book based on actual events and discuss the impact of these events on her family.
Deborah Levison is an award-winning journalist, publicist and storyteller. Born and raised in Toronto, she now lives in Connecticut with one husband, one dog, and three children. You can find her every summer in Muskoka, watching the sun set from her rowboat. For updates on her career visit: www.debbielevison.com.
