Muskoka Authors 5th Year Anniversary Open Mic Night
The public is invited to the Muskoka Authors Association fifth anniversary Open Mic Night at the Bracebridge Centre for Active Living on Wednesday October 9. MAA Members will share their work with readings of short stories, novel excerpts and poetry. You are guaranteed to be engaged and entertained.
With the motto of Authors Helping Authors, Muskoka Authors Association has a growing membership from novice to professional. As an organization created by writers, for writers, MAA believes it is our duty to assist our members in flourishing to their full potential. We bring in the best authors, publishers, and literary agents from across Canada, and continue to motivate and encourage one another.
Our group takes pride in being a safe environment where both new and veteran writers can meet in a judgment-free zone. We take positive comments and light critiques from each other while maintaining a spirit of advocacy and optimism.
MAA focuses on everyone as equals. Although we do celebrate when our writers become published, we also accept that some write for their friends, family, and future generations to read their stories.
Anyone who feels a spark to write is encouraged and welcomed to join us. Being able to see a community of writers grow while helping each other is our goal.
Location: Bracebridge Centre for Active Living, 54 Dominion Street, Bracebridge. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.
Fee: MAA Members: Free, Non-Members: $10
